STOCKTON – It was a warm and sunny day at Bucky Layland Softball Complex, but it was evident early on that there was a storm on the horizon.
Eventually, the Delta Mustangs’ offense was going to open up like an afternoon thunderstorm, and there was little Folsom Lake College could do about it.
The Mustangs scored five times in the third inning on their way to a 9-0 win against the Falcons in five innings on Tuesday. After an unnecessarily close game with Santa Rose on Monday and with a first-place matchup against Sierra, Delta got the clean, efficient victory it wanted.
