STOCKTON — Delta’s Wayne Brooks Jr. threw for 186 yards Saturday and also ran for 186 yards but three turnovers helped Sacramento City pull away in the second half to give the Panthers a 55-38 non-conference win at Lawrence A. DeRicco Field.

“Today’s game will affect nothing but today,” Mustangs coach Gary Barlow said. “The turnovers we had today affected today and it’s our job to clean them up and get ourselves in a position to not lose a game.

“Sometimes games are won, and it may sound cliché, and sometimes you lose the game.
