STOCKTON - Delta College is showing its slugging prowess early in the season and coach Reed Peters couldn't be more pleased.
The Mustangs have hit seven home runs in their first three games this season, including two in their 10-1 win against West Valley on Tuesday at Delta's Cecchetti Field.
Shea Sbranti and Bo McClintock went deep for Delta (3-0) against the Vikings (0-3), but there's plenty of muscle up and down the lineup.
"We've got a lot of power in the lineup," Peters said. "(Hitters) one through seven are capable of hitting some home runs, with a lot of power in the middle of it.
