STOCKTON — Delta softball coach Jim Fisher is pleased but not at all surprised his Mustangs are sporting such a high statewide ranking that mirrors their near-perfect record.
The rest of the California Community College softball community might be surprised, but not Fisher, who’s in his ninth season.
“At the beginning of the season, the core that was coming back was basically the core from last year,” Fisher said. “We weren’t that offensive as a group, but you looked at the skill set and you thought it’s in there.”
