STOCKTON – After nearly two weeks of rain kept Pacific softball players almost exclusively in the batting cages, a frigid but dry game day was welcomed by the Tigers.
So what if the first opponent at their own Louisville Slugger Tournament is riding the longest win streak in the country?
Pacific’s rust showed in a 9-4 loss to No. 24 Boise State as they committed four errors. While prepping the field after the loss, though, the Tigers sounded eager to get back on the today and prove they can play better than their 4-10 record.
“We’ve been in a slump and I think it’s all in our head,” Pacific left fielder Caity Sung said.
