Meth Qualifies For The Sony Open

Stockton, Calif. - Healthy and back from surgery that postponed the start of his professional career, former Tigers standout and WCC Golfer of the Year Byron Meth qualified for the Sony Open on Monday, January 11 to kick off his career after graduation. The 2015 graduate earned a spot in the season-opening Sony Open after a five-man playoff at the Monday qualifying having shot a -4, 68 in the round. Meth joins Luke List, Nick Killpack, and Nick Mason as qualifiers for the event.

The Sony Open in Hawaii opens the 2016 PGA season as professionals descend on Waialae CC in Honolulu for the four-day event that begins on Thursday, January 14.
