IRVINE, Calif. - The No. 5 Pacific men's water polo team won the Golden Coast Conference Championship Sunday with a 9-5 win over No. 7 UC Irvine in the Anteaters' home pool. Ben Stevenson posted a hat trick, while Luke Pavillard added two goals as the Tigers earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship.
Kale Ai, Engin Ege Colak, Tim Reeves and Devon Thumwood all each scored for Pacific. Goalie Alen Osmanovic recorded 12 saves for the Tigers.
Pacific improves to 19-5 overall and will await the NCAA draw to be announced late Sunday night.
