Berkeley, Calif. - The Pacific men's tennis team posted seven victories Thursday at the ITA Northwest Regionals hosted by Cal. Jose Chamba and Miguel Diaz advanced to the singles Round of 32, while all three doubles tandems moved on to the Round of 32.
In singles Round of 128 play, Jose Chamba (seeded 17th) defeated Oliver Poysti of San Francisco, 7-6 (8), 6-1, while Tadiwa Chinamo prevailed in three sets over Eastern Washington's Victor Pereira, 7-6 (6), 5-7, 6-4. Alex Giannini also advanced with a straight-set win over EWU's Luke Ness, 6-4, 6-2.
