STOCKTON –A stunning 12-0 burst to open overtime gave the Pacific men’s basketball team a close victory over UC Irvine while snapping a three-game skid against the Anteaters Saturday at Spanos Center.
The Tigers won 84-75 as freshman Ajare Sanni made back-to-back three-pointers to give Pacific a 69-63 advantage. Half of the run were scored on a layup by Jahlil Trip, two free throws by Roberto Gallinat, and then a steal and subsequent dunk by Kendall Small.
The remaining two minutes of overtime was more of a celebration by Tigers’ fans and players with the game seemingly in hand.
