Men's basketball: Second-half woes hurt Tigers

STOCKTON — Missing its floor leader for most of the game seemed to take a toll on the Pacific men's basketball team Saturday in a 64-47 loss to visiting Santa Clara.

Senior point guard T.J. Wallace played just 12 minutes, finishing with five points. He sat out the second half, appearing to have his left thumb treated near the end of the Tigers' bench. Wallace's shooting hand was injured Jan. 26 at Loyola Marymount.

Anthony Townes led Pacific (9-18, 3-11 WCC) with 12 points and eight rebounds. With Wallace out, Townes did his best to rally his teammates, calling them into huddle at every opportunity.
