Mayer Drafted By The Twins

Stockton, Calif. - Danny Mayer was drafted by the Minnesota Twins today to become Pacific's third draftee of the 2016 MLB Amateur Draft. He was drafted in the 37th round and follows in the footsteps of Gio Brusa (6th Round) and Vince Arobio (27th Round) who were drafted earlier in the 2016 draft.

This year, Mayer led the West Coast Conference in homers with 15 en route to an All-WCC First Team selection. His 15 homers were the second-most in Pacific history, behind only Justin Baum's 17 in 2005. Mayer also blasted 32 extra-base hits as he added 16 doubles and a triple.
