University of the Pacific’s women’s basketball team will head to the Pacific Northwest looking for more success in the West Coast Conference.
The Tigers stop in Oregon at 7 p.m. today to play Portland at the Chiles Center. On Saturday they challenge No. 16 Gonzaga in Spokane, Washington.
Pacific (10-5, 3-1 WCC) was strong last week, beating Loyola Marymount 76-67 and Pepperdine 64-63.Junior Brooklyn McDavid scored her 1,000th career point against the Waves.
The Pilots (8-6, 1-2) are particularly strong defensively against the three-point shot, holding opponents to just 26.5 percent a game.
