The Pacific softball team has not won in nearly a month, and the tough stretch continued Friday.
The Tigers were shut out, 6-0 by Saint Mary’s in the first game of a doubleheader at Bill Simoni Field in Stockton. Then, in the night cap, Saint Mary’s scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning to beat Pacific again, this time by a 5-4 final.
The doubleheader sweep marks the Tigers’ 14 straight loss, extending a streak that dates back to Pacific’s last win March 20 against Rider.
In the first game, no Tiger had multiple hits in the loss, and just one had an extra-base hit.
