Pacific women’s water polo head coach James Graham was named the Golden Coast Conference Coach of the Year on Tuesday, the conference announced.
The honor is Graham’s third coach of the year award after leading the Tigers to their third consecutive GCC tournament championship title and the program’s second straight undefeated conference season with a record of 7-0.
Under Graham, the Tigers never trailed in any of their GCC matches against opponents and earned a 13-9 victory over third-seeded Loyola Marymount at the GCC championships.
Pacific earned a play-in bid to this year’s National Collegiate Women’s Water Polo Championships held at Stanford, as the Tigers defeated Cal Lutheran 16-8 before falling to eventual champion Stanford in the quarterfinals.
