The Pacific softball team split two games at the Spartan Classic in San Jose on Saturday, beating UMass-Lowell 3-1 and losing to host San Jose State 5-4.
The Tigers are 11-13 for the season.
Bradi Kooyman led Pacific in the first game with the River Hawks with her first home run of the season. Carly Lucchetti singled in a run, and pitcher Myka Sutherlin went the distance, recording seven strikeouts.
The second game was a tough one, but Pacific erased a 3-0 deficit in the sixth, with Jessica Mabrey’s two-run double in the fifth, and Caity Sung’s RBI single to tie the score 3-3.
