STOCKTON – Tyler Burnes was much happier after the second day of the West Coast Conference Golf Championships, and so were the rest of his Pacific teammates.
Burnes sliced eight strokes off his first-round score and shot a three-under-par 69 for the Tigers on Friday at The Reserve at Spanos Park. The Tigers were 10 strokes better as a team, shooting a two-under 286 to move into a tie for sixth place going into today’s final round.
“We challenged our guys to get off to a better start today, and they did,” Pacifc head coach John Cook said.
