The Pacific baseball team’s West Coast Conference-opening series did not go according to plan.
The Tigers lost to Saint Mary’s 12-7 on Sunday, finishing a three-game sweep by the Gaels. Pacific falls to 11-8 overall, and 0-3 in the WCC.
Alex Leforestier went 2 for 4 with three RBI for the Tigers, with teammates Kevin Sandri, Bryce Kirk and Keaton Glover adding two hits each.
Six pitchers split time on the mound for Pacific, giving up 12 runs - all earned - on 12 hits and six walks.
