Sunday was the first opportunity of the season for the Pacific baseball team to see how it’d respond after a loss.
As it turns out, the Tigers responded well.
Pacific beat Sacramento State 6-2 on Sunday afternoon to take three of four of the road trip up north. James Free went 2 for 4 with a home run and two RBI in the win for the Tigers, which improves to 7-1 on the season.
Wyatt Hoffman went 3 for 4 for Pacific, and Nate Verlin went 2 for 5 with two doubles. Bradley Jekich also had a double for the Tigers, who open a series at home against Seattle University on Friday.
