Delta College’s men’s basketball team had a much better showing this time against City College of San Francisco, but still couldn’t get the win.
San Francisco beat the host Mustangs 87-74 on Saturday in the semifinals of the Delta Holiday Tournament. The Mustangs (7-4) will play Merritt at 2 p.m. today in the third-place game, while CCSF takes on Cabrillo at 4 p.m. in the championship contest.
Delta was trounced by the Rams 112-55 Dec. 1 in San Francisco. On Saturday the Mustangs tried to stay in the game, but couldn’t get close than 12 points in the second half.
