Pacific baseball began to mount a late comeback against Loyola Marymount on Friday night in Los Angeles, but a late offensive outburst from LMU extinguished Pacific's comeback hopes in a 7-1 loss.
The Tigers got a good start out of senior left-handed pitcher Ricky Reynoso and a two-double night out of junior catcher James Free, who had the Tigers lone RBI, and a two-hit night from junior Keaton Glover but couldn't get the rest of the offense going until late in the game. A run in the top of the eighth made it a 2-1 LMU lead, but a five-run bottom half of the inning clinched the win.
