STOCKTON – Taras Liskevych was a young man with a dream when he arrived at University of the Pacific.
He built the foundation of a program that would win two national championships and sustain an enviable run of success in women’s volleyball.
After a brilliant coaching career that included eight years at Pacific, a 12-year stint as the U.S. National Team coach and 11 years leading Oregon State, Liskevych returned to Stockton last weekend to celebrate Pacific’s rich volleyball history and begin consulting current Tigers’ coach Greg Gibbons with the hope of re-capturing some of the program’s past glory.
