STOCKTON – Camden Riley heard the predictions about his soccer future, and happily accepted an invitation to the Major League Soccer Draft.
But he didn’t truly believe he was going to be chosen until he heard his name called.
Riley, who recently wrapped up a sterling career at University of the Pacific, was selected by Sporting Kansas City with the 21st pick of the second round (45th pick overall) of the MLS Draft on Jan. 11. He’s the second Tiger in as many seasons to be selected in the MLS Draft, with former teammate Tristan Blackmon having been selected third overall by Los Angeles Football Club in 2018.
