Stockton, Calif. – After receiving over 300 votes, goalkeeper Lena Perry has won HERO Sports' HERO of the Week plaudit after her stellar performance against No. 18 Connecticut this past Friday.
"We are very excited for Lena to be recognized for her outstanding performance against the No. 18 ranked UCONN Huskies," says head coach Kerri Scroope. "Lena and her team played a hard fought match against a top team. She kept us in the game, and her tall stature and athletic ability made it so she was able to keep 16 shots out of the net.
