STOCKTON — Kaylee Buhrkuhl is proving she can be both a leadoff hitter and a home run leader.
Since moving to the top of the order six games ago, Delta College's sophomore shortstop continues to get on base and drive in runs. She hit a two-run home run and helped the Mustangs beat Santa Rosa 6-1 Tuesday at Bucky Layland Softball Complex. It was the fifth win in a row for Delta (17-3, 8-1), which remains tied for the Big 8 Conference lead with Sierra.
Buhrkuhl also walked twice and scored twice.
