STOCKTON - It was clear from the beginning of the game that the Pacific men's basketball team would have to have a good shooting night if it was going to contend with Rider.
And after a cold start, the Tigers did warm up to make it close, but couldn't get hot enough to win.
Pacific trailed by 13 points early and closed to two points with a minute to go. But the Broncs made five free throws and pulled down a pair of key rebounds in the final minute to hold off the Tigers' last ditch rally for a 73-66 victory over Pacific in the Gotham Classic on Saturday at Stockton Arena.
