Late Goal Not Enough as Tigers Fall to Lumberjacks

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. - A goal by Sigrid Aas in the 88th minute was not enough on Sunday as the Pacific women's soccer team fell to host Northern Arizona 2-1.

The setback brings the Tigers to 2-5-1 overall while the victory lifts the Lumberjacks to 5-2 on the 2017 season.

The Lumberjacks took a 1-0 advantage early on a goal from Haleigh Van Allen in the third minute of action. The hosts quickly added another in the eighth minute off the foot of Malia Lyken to extend their lead to 2-0. Offensively Pacific kept the pressure as Samia Adam ripped a shot towards goal that forced a great save by goalie Meghan Dickmann.
