It's about time: Offensive line gives Delta QBs chances to make plays

STOCKTON – It all starts up front.

Delta's offensive line gave quarterbacks Joey Lopes and Jake Pruitt enough time to throw for more than 400 yards and helped spot the Mustangs to a 43-point lead on the way to a 53-31 Valley Conference win over Sequoias on Saturday at DeRicco Field, snapping a five-game losing streak.

“The first thing is the offensive line gave the quarterbacks really good protection so they didn’t have to deal with pressure,” Delta coach Gary Barlow said. “And they were able to keep their eyes down the field and make some things happen.
