An incoming Tiger, Charles Middleton, was bestowed a big honor earlier this week when he was named as the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings National Position Player of the Year for the Pacific Association Division.
Middleton, who will join the Tigers this coming fall, has spent his last two seasons playing in Sierra College's outfield. The soon to be junior hit an absurd .365 with 57 RBIs, 10 home runs, 17 doubles and 58 runs scored. Middleton led the Wolverines to a 30-12 record this season and a spot in the CCCAA Regionals.
