The second day of the Visit Stockton/Pacific Invitational went much better for the Tigers.
The host team scored better across the board, and freshman Petr Janik had another fine round on Tuesday at The Reserve at Spanos Park.
The Tigers still trail the field of 16 schools, but rallied to shoot 288 as a team, 22 strokes better than Monday’s effort.
Janik followed up his even-par performance in round No. 1 with a two-under 70 for a total of 142, which puts him in a tie for ninth place going into the final day.
Tyler Burnes and Austin Fox shot 71s on Tuesday, and Beau Forest and Griffin Long each shot 72 for Pacific.
