STOCKTON, Calif. – The University of the Pacific baseball team fell to Sacramento State on Tuesday night, 9-2.
The Tigers fall to 3-6 on the season while the Hornets improve to 3-6 overall.
In the bottom of the second, the Orange and Black jumped to a 1-0 lead with Matthew Tarantino singling to right field with one out. Carter Hayes stepped up and powered a single to left field that advanced Tarantino to third for the leading run. Keaton Glover hit a sacrifice bunt to the pitcher to score Tarantino for the first run of the game.
