The Stockton Heat announced forwards Darren Nowick and Mike McMurtry were assigned to the club’s ECHL affiliate, the Kansas City Mavericks, on Sunday.
In games with the Heat this season, Nowick has recorded a goal and two assists while McMurtry, named to the ECHL All-Star game but missed the festivities due to his call-up to Stockton, has recorded an assist in 8 games with Stockton. Despite not playing for the Mavericks since December 23, McMurtry still leads the club in points with 32 points in 30 games this season.
Heat All-Star Rasmus Andersson will be in action during the 2018 AHL All-Star Classic in Utica, New York today.
