STOCKTON, Calif. - The Pacific beach volleyball team fell to Grand Canyon Monday at Raney Courts, 5-0.
At No. 2, Jordyn Sanchez & Hannah Towne jumped out to a 5-1 lead early on Katrin Gotterba & Maycie LaBass and finished set one, 21-13. LaBass served up a 5-1 lead in set two, but the Antelopes fought back to pull within 13-12. However, the Tigers surged back with an ace from LaBass and a kill to the back from Gotterba providing a 17-13 lead. Gotterba added an ace and the Tigers won a long rally for set point, and LaBass hammered home the set winner, 21-15.
