SAN BRUNO, Calif. – After the first week of competition, Jasmine Gonzalez earned West Coast Conference Runner of the Week honors for the first time in program history, as released by the WCC on Monday.
Gonzalez had a stellar opening weekend in Hawaii helping Pacific to a second-place team finish at the Big Wave Invitational. Gonzalez paced the course with a time of 19:03.00, which was 33 seconds faster than last year, to finish first for the Tigers ahead of fellow teammate Saira Purhar.
"I am so proud of Jasmine and her success. This is our first WCC Runner of the Week in program history and it is a great honor.
