Stockton, Calif. - For the third time in his career, Gio Brusa was selected in the MLB Draft, this time going in the sixth round (#185) to the San Francisco Giants. Brusa was also drafted after his senior year of high school, going in the 37th round to the Atlanta Braves in 2012. Last season, Brusa was drafted in the 23rd round by the St. Louis Cardinals.
This season, Brusa led the Tigers in batting average, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, and RBI to wrap up his Pacific career in style. He won WCC Player of the Week after hitting .
