Gallinat garners WCC weekly award

Roberto Gallinat saved his best week for last.

The Pacific men’s basketball guard scored a career-high 41 points on Thursday, then scored 23 more in Saturday’s regular-season finale to earn recognition as the West Coast Conference Player of the Week.

Gallinat’s 41 from Thursday fell three points shy of matching the Pacific program record set by Bill Stricker in 1968, and it was the first time a Tiger scored over 40 points since Rich Anema hit the mark in 1986.

The honor makes Gallinat the second Pacific player to be recognized this season, with Jahlil Tripp being named for the week of Jan.
