MORAGA, Calif. – The Pacific women's beach volleyball team finished just short of an upset over Saint Mary's after falling to the Gaels by a score of 3-2 Tuesday evening.
It all came down to the final match of the day between the two squads No. 1 pairings, but with a 2-2 score, Tigers' Andie Shelton and Marcie LaBass fell in straight sets (21-14, 21-15) to the Gaels Morgan Hughes and Payton Rund.
The Tigers are now 5-7 on the season, while the No. 19/RV Gaels improve to 9-2.
