STOCKTON – Ameela Li is making the most of her opportunity to start at point guard for the Pacific women’s basketball team.
With starter GeAna Luaulu-Summers out with an injury, Li had a career-high in assists for the third consecutive game with nine in the Tigers’ 74-52 win over Nevada on Thursday at Spanos Center. Pacific opens West Conference play at 7 p.m. Monday at Santa Clara (8-2).
Li also had 10 points on 5-of-8 shooting with five rebounds, four steals, three turnovers (none in the final three quarters) and one blocked shot.
