It was a good day with low scores at Stockton Country Club, and University of the Pacific’s Casey Scott and Austin Fox joined in on the fun.
Fox and Scott shot matching one-under-par 70s to tie for 26th place on the first day of the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational on Thursday at the Stockton course. Pacific is ninth overall out of 16 teams.
Everyone tied with or in front of the Pacific duo also broke par. Kevin Velo of San Jose State led the field with a seven-under 64, and Ben Hicks of South Dakota and Peter Kuest tied for second at 65.
