Even when he's talking about Desire Finnie's 3-pointers, Pacific women's basketball coach Bradley Davis employs a little body English.
"You're always like 'yeeeaaah, ok, good," Davis said as he eyed a hoop and leaned back. "She doesn't get a lot of arc on her shot."
Though nailing her laser-like long-range shots provides an offensive boost, it's Finnie's defense that was the most valuable in a 30-point victory over Cal State Bakersfield on Sunday.
Her instincts will be put to work again as the Tigers play at 5 p.m. today at Long Beach State.
Finnie scored 17 points and led Pacific with five rebounds and three steals Sunday.
