STOCKTON, Calif. - To begin the season, Pacific field hockey is ranked in the top 25 in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association preseason poll. The poll was announced Tuesday morning with Pacific receiving 107 points to be ranked #25 to start the 2017 campaign.
Pacific is coming off a record-breaking season as they had their winningest season in school history going 16-5 and averaging 4.38 goals per game, the second highest in the nation. Last season was also Pacific's highest scoring year in school history as they won the American East West Division for the second year in a row.
