CHICO, Calif. – Emma Winkler and Skylar Duignan of the Pacific women's track and field program had stellar performances on Saturday afternoon at the Chico State Distance Carnival, hosted at University stadium in Chico, Calif.
Both Winkler and Duignan both competed in a 1500 meter run race, Winkler in the 1500 meter invite and Duignan in the 1500 meter open. Winkler, a junior from Clarksburg, Calif., recorded a new career-best with a fifth-place time of 4:50.66. Duignan placed 11th in her race with a finish of 5:15.60, which nearly surpassed her program-best.
The Tigers return to action next Saturday, when they travel to Davis, Calif.
