San Bruno, Calif. – With the start of the new season on the horizon, the West Coast Conference volleyball preseason poll has been released with the Tigers picked sixth by the 10 coaches of the conference. After making its sixth consecutive NCAA Tournament and 19th overall, San Diego was picked as the favorite to win the 2016 West Coast Conference Volleyball Championship.
In addition to the poll, the coaches put together the preseason All-WCC team as the league's top-10 heading into the 2016 season were selected. Among the conference's top-10 players was the Tigers' ace outside hitter, senior Lexi Elman, who enters her final season of collegiate volleyball as one of the premiere outsides in the country.
