Auburn, Ala. - Senior Lexi Elman recorded 19 kills as the Pacific volleyball team downed Furman 3-1 in the season opener at the War Eagle Invitational hosted by Auburn.
After cruising in the first two sets, the Tigers couldn't put Furman away in set three, but Pacific closed set four with a 4-1 run to take the match, 25-18, 25-12, 16-25, 25-22.
Freshman Emily Baptista added 14 kills against two errors, hitting .300 for the match, while also recording nine digs in her Pacific debut. Senior Alicja Wilk added nine kills with five blocks.
