STOCKTON, Calif. - Pacific's own Miguel Diaz was named the West Coast Conference's Singles Player of the Week today, the third Tiger to win a Player of the Week award this season. Diaz was a perfect 2-0 this week and has won nine of his last 11 singles matches.
The week started with Diaz leading 7-5, 1-6, 5-2 against Middle Tennessee State's top singles player, only to have that match go unfinished as MTSU clinched the match elsewhere. Diaz would go on to win against San Francisco 6-4, 6-1, then took down Fresno State's Xander Veys 4-6, 6-4, 6-4.
