Delta steps up its game come playoff time

STOCKTON – Delta’s baseball team is loaded with players who have accepted the roles they’ve been asked to fill.

Pitcher Mikey Wright and infielder Carlos Moseley, both from Elk Grove, are just two of them. Wright went from being the Mustangs’ closer to a starter, and Moseley has played second base and third base, while dealing with back issues. Both helped Delta reach the playoffs, and both helped the Mustangs earn a pair of shutouts in sweeping Butte last weekend in the first round of the California Community College Athletic Association NorCal Regional.
