STOCKTON – Fresh off its College of San Mateo Tournament championship, the Delta women’s basketball team won its fourth in a row with a victory over Sacramento City in its Big 8 Conference opener at Blanchard Gymnasium.
Delta won 58-47 in a sloppy game in which both teams committed a combined 57 turnovers. In the second game of the double-header, Delta’s men squad won 79-77 in an overtime thriller. John Berna made a turnaround, fade-away jumper from the baseline with one second remaining to claim the victory.
