STOCKTON — The Delta College Mustangs completed an important task by bringing the school its first women’s water polo conference title in 15 years.
But there is much left to accomplish.
The Mustangs, champions of the Big 8 Conference, move on to the Northern California Regional Championships where they meet Ohlone at 9 a.m. Friday in the first round at Las Positas College in Livermore. Two teams will advance from the regionals to the California State Championships Nov. 18-19 at the same site.
Delta (22-5) advanced to the state’s final four last year, and was just short of winning the league title.
