STOCKTON – Tori Mata doesn’t remember much about Delta’s softball game earlier this season against Cabrillo.
“We lost,” she said. “We made so many errors. It was like a doubleheader against like three other teams. I don’t remember.”
On Feb. 28, the Mustangs lost to the Seahawks 4-0 in a three-team event at College of the Sequoias in Visalia. Delta coach Jim Fisher said he remembers his team running into four outs in that game.
Mata and Fisher believe the Mustangs are a better team than the one Cabrillo played more than two months ago.
