Delta College football coach Gary Barlow hopes so.
The Mustangs are flush with new faces this season: at quarterback, receiver, along the line, just about everywhere.
“We’re real young but we’ve had some really good years that way,” said Barlow, who opened fall practice for the 17th time on Thursday at DeRicco Field. “Some coaches are like, ‘Oh, man, we’re really going to be young.’ Some years, that’s a good thing. I’m kind of excited about the outlook.”
Barlow said his team is young, but the group has been working together since January, so Thursday didn’t feel like a first meeting.
