The Delta College men’s basketball team is back on the winning side of things.
The Mustangs beat College of the Sequoias 78-71 on Sunday to close competition in the San Francisco City Tournament. Jimmy Beltz led the way for Delta (6-2), scoring 22 points while teammate Cameron Pieters added 21.
It was a strong bounce-back for the Mustangs, who opened the tournament with a 112-55 loss to San Francisco a day earlier.
Up next for Delta is a Thursday matchup against Canada College, held at San Mateo College.

At the Fortune Holiday Classic, Jabbar Zaman had 12 points and 12 rebounds to help Ben Holt beat host Fortune Early College Academy in the tournament’s third-place game.
